Your conversations with the AI analysis tool are not protected by attorney-client privilege, because the AI is not an attorney. Everything you share is encrypted in transit and at rest and is never sold or shared with third parties — but encryption is not privilege, and whether anything is discoverable in a particular case is decided by a court, not by us. Once you engage a licensed attorney through Law Hired, your communications with that attorney are privileged under your state's rules. Treat the AI tier as a research tool, and assume anything you put into it could have to be produced.

Profiles distinguish information supplied by an attorney from information checked against an official public source. Review the verification label, source, and date shown on a profile, and confirm current standing with the relevant licensing authority before hiring. Insurance information, when displayed, is self-reported unless the profile expressly says otherwise.

The AI can organize facts, suggest issue categories, explain general legal concepts, and prepare drafts for review. It can be incomplete or wrong and does not assess the merits of your case, provide legal advice, create an attorney-client relationship, or replace an attorney. Verify deadlines, citations, and every draft independently.

Attorneys set their own fees and engagement terms; Law Hired does not set or negotiate legal fees. Review the attorney's proposal and written fee agreement before engaging them, including whether the work is hourly, flat-fee, capped, or subject to expenses. Platform subscription charges are disclosed separately.

Your case file — including the AI analysis, documents you uploaded, and the timeline of events you described — transfers directly to the attorney you hire. They receive a structured intake summary before your first call so you do not have to re-explain everything. The attorney can accept, modify, or override any AI-generated assessment. You retain access to the full case history in your dashboard throughout.

Coverage varies by jurisdiction, practice area, and feature. The platform identifies the source and jurisdiction when it presents legal information, and it should return an unsupported response where reliable coverage is unavailable. Attorney availability also varies; use directory filters and independently confirm licensing for your matter.

Contact the attorney about ending or changing the engagement and review your signed fee agreement for withdrawal, file-transfer, trust-balance, and refund terms. You may also contact Law Hired support about platform or payment issues. Refund rights and timing depend on the governing agreement and applicable rules; Law Hired does not promise a universal result or deadline.

Yes, with caveats. The AI can help you understand court filings, explain procedural deadlines, and draft pro se motions if you are representing yourself. If you have active counsel, the platform can serve as a second-opinion research tool. However, if you need an attorney to enter an appearance in an ongoing case, that attorney must be licensed in the jurisdiction where the case is pending — our search filters for this. We strongly recommend hiring a licensed attorney before any court deadline if you are not already represented.

Application data is protected in transit with TLS and at rest using the controls of our infrastructure providers. Law Hired itself is not SOC 2 or ISO 27001 certified. Settings → Privacy & Data provides a JSON export of supported account data; it is not yet a complete document archive, so firms should also retain their own source files and contact support for a broader portability request. Account deletion uses a confirmation workflow, but deletion of every matter, document, financial, backup, and audit record remains subject to legal-retention duties and a verified purge process. We do not promise an automatic 30- or 60-day purge until that process is production-validated.
